Introduction

This page is intended to assist new Residents at VBH and the Hudson, NH area.

You are here:

<map>

Google has an online map application that provides a street level view of  streets in the area that can be accessed by linking to the map site and then selecting "Street View" on the map and entering a street name and city in the search box which brings up a window where you again select "Street View" and you will see a scene like you were at that spot.  By pressing arrow keys you can manuever around.  The site has views of most of VBH Community.

The Basics

We are a community of 62 detached condo units and 20 townhouse units (5 buildings), built on 60 acres of rolling hills. The complex was completed at the end of 1989. The majority of residents are owners, but a few units are long-term rentals.

Owners Database & Email List

The Association maintains a list of current owners and their emails. It is not shared with anyone outside the Board, and the list is controlled (it cannot be used for SPAM).

If you're not receiving "Owner" [Renters are welcome, too] emails (they average one/month), please sign up below. Emailings are limited to items of relevance to the community and the local area. We need your name and unit so that we can verify that you're in fact an Owner at VBH.

Items in red are required -- others are optional. Any information you provide is kept confidential.

Resident's Handbook

There is a PDF online. Selected items are available on this page. The Documents section of the web has selected updates to the handbook.

Caution:  The Residents Handbook was created as a quick reference for owners to provide some helpful information, however, it is not the legal document(s) that govern the Association.  Legal Governance is via the Condominium Declaration, Bylaws and the released policies of the Association which should be consulted for official Association rules and regulations .  An analogy;  you can think of the Residents Handbook as the information brochure for an insurance policy with the Condominium Declaration, Bylaws and Policies as the actual insurance policy details.

Town Agencies

Always take "directory" type sites with a grain of salt -- sometimes they're just lists of vendors who pay a fee for listing; any reviews may be written by themselves and will always be flattering. But... you knew that.

Our "competitor", the Kessler Farms Condominium web site, has a resource list. Check it out.

Recreation

A really super place to go close by is Benson's Park. There's a trail that can be accessed at the corner of Kimball Hill Rd, Greeley St. and Central St (Rt 111) in Hudson. The site is the former Benson's Wild Animal Farm which is now a Town of Hudson Park which has great walking trails usable year round. You can find information on Facebook and the Town of Hudson website. A great trail map is also available. Some history on the park can be found at Benson's web site. The site is maintained by a committee of dedicated Hudson citizens who have done a great job in recovering the site. Check it out!

Check out Mine Falls Park in Nashua. It offers several miles of wooded trails, great vistas; trails are easy walking (slight hills but mostly flat) and are favorites for off-road bicyclists. Here's a map.

Particularly lovely in the Fall! (this photo taken in mid-October)

The easiest entrance to Mine Falls from VBH, is to head out to the North Nashua Home Depot store. Take the left turn just past the Nashua Mall, continue past Home Depot. You'll see a Hannaford supermarket on the right (it's nicer than Hudson's...) and you'll soon be in the park's parking lot.

The Nashua "Rails to Trails" Trail runs from Nashua south into Massachusetts, ending in Ayer, MA. It's almost completely flat (great for cycling) and runs through farmland and small towns. Recommended. A map is available (PDF format) here.  Parking is accessible in several spots with the most convenient located at the intersection of Gilson Rd. and Country Side Dr..

Food & Shopping

  • Downtown Nashua is less then 3 miles away, and offers a wide variety of restaurants and (mostly) smaller shops.
